Henry Connor was born in Ohio in 1780; was taken captive with his parents by British near Sandusky, Ohio, 1782 ; they formed a settlement near Mt. Clemens. He learned Native American languages and was Indian subagent for the U.S. government; was with Gen. Cass at making of the first treaty with the Native Americans at Fond du Lac.
